Due to a burst on a major watermain, the water supply in the Killiney, Dalkey, Ballybrack and adjoining area has been turned off to necessitate repair.

The crew are currently on site repairing the burst and it is hoped to have water restored as soon as possible.  Unfortunately an exact time when water will be restored cannot be given at this stage.

Due to a burst on a major watermain, the water supply  in the following areas has been turned off:-
South Dalkey, Killiney area, Saval Park, Ballinclea, Ballinclea Heights, Springhill Park, Oakdene, Avondale Road Area (part of), Church Road (part of)  with a possible effect on adjoining areas.

Water has been turned off in order to necessitate repair.  At this stage the water crew are unable to give a time when water will be restored.

Water was temporarily off in the Meadowmount, Churchtown area for approx one hour this morning.

The Water Inspector has notified that water has now been restored 11.15 am and the Council apologises for the disruption to the water supply.

Update @ 4.30 pm - The burst main involved a  major repair and it is anticipated therefore that the water supply will be restored around 7.30 pm this evening.

However, please note it may take several hours for the water to reach all households.

Please be advised that the water supply will be disrupted to the Ballybrack area, namely Glenavon Park and surrounding areas due to a burst watermain in the area.

We hope that the water supply will be restored later this afternoon.
