Lobbying by Peace Commissioner

Ciarán Cuffe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the action he intends to take in view of the recent lobbying on the part of a peace commissioner (details supplied) of elected representatives in an attempt to prevent the appointment of a public servant; and if he will make a statement on the matter. 

Minister For Justice, Equality and Law Reform:   It is open to any citizen to make representations to a public representative and it would be inappropriate for me to intervene in this matter.
