Green Party will protect amenities around Dublin Bay

The Green Party took a quick break from the campaign trail last Thursday to enjoy the sunshine on Sandycove Beach.  Green Party TD for Dún Laoghaire Ciarán Cuffe and Party Leader Trevor Sargent TD took some time to meet with people out enjoying the good weather in the area.

Green Party TD for Dún Laoghaire Ciarán Cuffe said: "It's great to be here in Sandycove on such a beautiful day.  The Green Party recently published the Dublin Bay Bill which if passed into legislation will ensure that fantastic amenities such as the beach here at Sandycove are protected so that people can freely enjoy them into the future.

"Under this Bill we would establish a Dublin Bay Authority which would ensure that the coastline around the Bay is protected and proposed developments are appropriate to their surroundings. We also want to see a regeneration of the Baths at Dún Laoghaire and Blackrock, and ensure that the proposed 'S2S' (Sutton to Sandycove) walking and cycle route becomes a reality."
