CUFFE REACTS TO SUNDAY INDEPENDENT ARTICLE

Green Party TD, Ciarán Cuffe today responded to a Sunday Independent article giving details of his declaration of interests that is on the public record. He stated that the assets were inherited from his mother. She passed away three years ago.

He had already instructed his bank to stay away from investing in the arms and nuclear industries. He is now reviewing these investments in order to invest in companies with a better track record on environmental and human rights issues.

"I have no wish to invest in companies with a bad environmental track record, and I intend making significant changes," stated Deputy Cuffe.
